Welcome to Pose2Lux
Welcome to Pose2Lux.com. Pose2Lux is a powerful, full-featured Python script that allows Poser users to render their scenes in LuxRender. You can download the latest copy from our downloads page.
René Mata has kindly created an updated Quick-Start Guide, which you can download from the link provided as well as from our downloads page.
Pose2Lux gives Poser 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 and all versions of Poser Pro users the option to use a renderer other than what comes with Poser (Firefly): LuxRender. After creating a scene (Pz3) in Poser, the user "exports" the scene, materials and lighting via the Pose2Lux script from within Poser to a format that LuxRender can read, and from which it can then create an image.
Important note: our software developer Snarlygribbly has decided to write a wxPython version of Pose2Lux. Work will begin in January. Support for the current version, Pose2Lux Pro, will continue. wxPython means Mac 64bit compatibility and an improved user interface for everyone. It will, however, require Poser 8 or later to run. While he could just duplicate the functionality of Pose2Lux Pro, he am prepared, if there is sufficient support, to fundamentally redesign it based on the best ideas you may have.
If you'd like to be involved in the new development please join in the discussion at this area here at Pose2Lux.com.
Even MORE important note: our software developer Snarlygribbly has his own website featuring not only Pose2Lux but other Must-Have utilities and tools this incredibly clever man has developed. Please do call in: he never fails to impress!
Additional note: Because of the busy little spammers poluting this site - despite anti-spam mechanisms which failed miserably - membership to Pose2Lux will have to be approved on an indiviual basis by site administrators.
To facilitate those people joining who actually have a legitimate reason to do so, I'm going to offer two means to contact me so I can add you to our satisfied member list:
-- sitemail me (Robynsveil) at Rendo with a valid email address and username (you should know what "Rendo" is or I'm going to assume you're a spammer), or,
-- email me with the above name but at gmail (going to try this for a little while - hope it doesn't bite me in the bum) and I will grant you access to the site as member ASAP.
